TIME FOR SOMETHING NEW
As Spring arrives, the earth awakens from its deep winter sleep. Grass begins to turn green, trees begin to bloom, and flowers start their annual show of vibrant colors. There has never been another Spring like this one. It is completely brand new. NAPPB has started it's new awakening as well. The long months of winter brought many changes not only to NAPPB, but to its members as well. We are still here, and we have new opportunities that are opening up each day. So come be a part of something new. This could be the very place you've been called to join.
OUR MISSION
Native American People of the Plains and Beyond (NAPPB), is a 501c3 non-profit Intertribal organization established in September 2021 with four main goals:
1. To foster fellowship among Native Americans and interested non-Native Americans in Lubbock and the surrounding area.
2. To educate and raise public awareness about the Native American People in this region.
3. To preserve Native American Arts and Culture.
4. To promote traditional conservation practices.

Membership consists of registered tribal members, individuals of Native American descent who are not registered, and non-Natives with a genuine interest in and respect for our culture.

Meetings are held on the third Saturday of each month from 1:00 to 3:00 PM. Notices are sent out 10 days before the meeting date. The Board of Directors meets one hour before the general meeting.

Planned activities for 2026 thus far: May 16th, 12:00 - 3:00 PM, First Responder and Veteran Luncheon. Other plans include investigating the opportunity to participate in the Lubbock Texas July 4th parade, attending several outdoor events, providing classes and holding fundraisers. November 21, 2026 - "Old Time Gathering" Powwow at the Lubbock Fair Park Coliseum, with dancers and vendors coming from all over the world.

Native American People of the Plains and Beyond was chartered by the State of Texas on September 10, 2021, as a non-profit organization. It received 501c3 accreditation on September 11, 2023, and is classified as a public charity. While the association aims to educate the public about Native culture and traditions, it is not a protest group. Members may express their personal opinions but cannot speak on behalf of the entire organization.
